Pius is a dedicated development professional with over 10 years cumulative experience in research, data analysis, and program implementation. He is a Consultant Trainer with Uwezo Uganda, having grown from Consultant Research Associate to Consultant Regional Coordinator-working in collaboration with Twaweza East Africa. As a Consultant Trainer, Pius supports partners in implementing Uwezo Learning Assessments and related programs focused on improving Learner Literacy and Numeracy across Uganda through capacity building, coordination, and quality assurance at community and national levels. Pius has worked with Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC) as a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer under a UNICEF-funded Integrated Early Childhood Development (ECD) program-where, he led ECD centre management assessments and facilitated caregiver engagement across various Catholic Church dioceses. He is an active consultant and data analyst for high-impact studies, including formative research, M&E, policy consultancies, and capacity-building for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), government agencies, and international development partners. Pius holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quantitative Economics with a strong bias in statistics and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Economic Policy and Planning at Makerere University. His professional passion lies in strengthening grassroots organisational capacity in education to underpin evidence-based policymaking.
