Emily Bukirwa Murungi is an Intern at Uwezo Uganda, under the Finance Unit. Emily is supporting financial operations, accounting processes, reporting, and day-to-day finance activities within the organisation. She hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting), which has provided her with a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial management, and business operations. She previously worked as an intern at the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA), where she further developed practical skills in finance and accounting procedures, documentation, and office financial support. In addition, she volunteered at Stars of Hope Nursery School in the Finance and Accounts Department, where she contributed to record keeping, managing financial documentation, and supporting basic accounting tasks. She is currently pursuing 3rd level of ACCA, continuously building her professional knowledge and competence in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and business management. She is motivated and eager-to-learn, passionate about growing her career in finance and accounting, and committed to continuous improvement while contributing positively to organisational success.
