Holds a Ph.D. in Educational Management, Planning and Administration (Mak), a Masters of Education (Mak), a Bachelors of Education (Mak), a Diploma in Education (Mak), a Diploma in Child Rights, Classroom and School Management (Lund), and a Certificate in Teacher Education Proficiency (Kyu & Agakhan). She worked as a Secondary School teacher, a Tutor in a Primary Teachers’ College, a Lecturer at Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo (ITEK), a Principal of Primary Teachers’ Colleges, and currently a Member of the Education Service Commission. She is a writer and author. She has written a number of training materials and books such as Tutor Training modules, Tutor text books, Management training manuals, Primary school Pupil books and a ‘Competency Profile for Primary school Teachers’ handbook. She has also been part of the teams that developed curriculum for BTE for Kyambogo University (Kyu) and Uganda National Institute for Teacher Education (UNITE), and Continuous Assessment Guidelines for Kyu. She has participated in a number of research studies, including, among others, the Action Research on Management of Growing Up and Sexual Maturation in selected primary schools in greater Luwero Region, and Increasing Retention through Improved Literacy and Learner-friendly Schools in selected primary schools in greater Luwero and Mpigi districts of Uganda. She has participated in various training programs as a Trainer of Trainers and a National facilitator. She has played a role of support supervisor, mentor, coach, accounting officer and overall manager in Institutions of learning. She was the first female Chairperson of Principals’ Association of Uganda (PAU), an Association for Primary Teachers’ Colleges. In that capacity, she represented the Principals/Colleges on various governing Boards/ Councils such as UNEB, National Curriculum Development Centre, and STIR Education. She was also a member of the Rewards and Sanctions committee of the Ministry of Education and Sports, as well as a member of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on salary Harmonization.
