Prof. Joyce Ayikoru Asiimwe

Associate Professor Joyce Ayikoru Asiimwe is an employee of Kyambogo University and the current Dean, Faculty of Education. She holds a PhD in Education, obtained from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST); a Master’s Degree in Education (M.ED) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Education (Hons), both of Makerere University. She is a trained secondary school teacher and has over the years acquired extensive knowledge and experience on education related issues through teaching, research and rendering professional services to both public and private educational institutions and other Non-Governmental Organizations working in the Education Sector.

In addition to serving on Uwezo Uganda Board, other institutions/organisations where she currently serves as Board/Council member include: Kyambogo College School; National Teachers’ College, Muni; National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) and International Science, Business and Technology (ISBAT) University. Her professional association with these entities provides invaluable opportunity for continuous learning, sharing good practices and partnership.
