Hellen Kyatusiimire

She was an Intern at Uwezo Uganda supporting the administration / operations and communications dockets. As an intern, she assists in the implementation of Uwezo communication and operations / admin core activities as per the approved annual plan which include; supporting  planned district launches, advocacy campaigns, attending some of the partnership meetings e.g. BEWG, FENU, etc and supporting in the day to day undertaking of Uwezo communication and operations tasks.

She also assisted in Media Monitoring by reviewing Uwezo and other Education related stories, and assist maintaining interaction on Uwezo Uganda social media pages for example twitter page, Facebook page and any other as may deem necessary.

Hellen has done two internships previously, one with the Ministry of Water and Environment as a communications officer and the other with Uganda Martyrs University helping in the radio studio installation at the University. She also worked as a research assistant supporting a research project on exploring the use of efficacy of peer support and social networking in the management of diabetes in Kenya and Uganda.

She holds bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi.
